Konig Ampliform Flow Formed Wheel
Konig Ampliform Flow Formed — a flow-formed alloy wheel from Konig with an amplified face design, combining the weight and strength advantages of the flow-forming process with an aggressive visual profile for street and track use.
Brand: Konig
Construction: Flow Formed (cast blank, rotary barrel forming)
Material: Aluminum alloy
Design: Ampliform multi-spoke
Note: Priced per wheel.
Description:
Flow forming takes a cast alloy blank and compresses the barrel section under high-force rollers while the wheel spins, aligning the grain structure and increasing the barrel’s tensile strength to levels approaching forged production. The result is a wheel that is lighter and structurally superior in the barrel compared to a conventional cast wheel, at a cost point between cast and full forged. Konig’s Ampliform applies this process to a wide-face, large-window design — amplified visual impact without the weight penalty that a purely cast wide-face wheel would carry.
Features:
• Flow Formed Construction: Barrel grain-aligned via rotary forming for cast-forged hybrid strength and weight.
• Ampliform Wide-Face Design: Large spoke windows and wide face for visual impact and brake visibility.
• Weight Reduction: Flow forming reduces barrel weight compared to a purely cast equivalent at the same strength.
• Street and Track Fitment: Konig’s sizing covers JDM and USDM sport compact and performance platform ranges.
Flow-formed strength and weight reduction in a wide-face design for street builds and track days.
