From 2026 the fabric has shifted to a non-fire-retardant specification; please note for competitive use.
HPI partnered with JAXA (Japan’s space agency) to design this: a frozen 500–700 ml PET bottle is used as the chiller, and chilled water is pumped through 16 metres of medical-grade silicone tubing woven into the vest. A dedicated lithium battery pack and pump drive it, so the whole thing is portable — pit lane, construction site, factory floor, race car.
Features:
- JAXA-Developed: Design co-developed with Japan’s space agency for operator cooling.
- Pumped Water Loop: About 16 m of silicone tubing circulated by a battery-driven pump.
- Reusable Chiller: Freeze an ordinary PET bottle and drop it into the unit.
- Portable: Battery-powered — no cables, use anywhere.
- Whole-Garment Knit: Woven as a single piece so the tubing stays in position.
For racing, karting, factory floors and anyone who needs real body-cooling in the heat.
