HPI Aluminium Heat Barrier — 600 mm × 600 mm
The HPI Aluminium Heat Barrier — 600 mm × 600 mm — a high-reflectance heat-shield sheet for the engine bay, rated to 450°C.
Brand: HPI
Product Name: HPI Aluminium Heat Barrier — 600 mm × 600 mm
Material: Embossed aluminium + 6 mm fibreglass insulation + 450°C adhesive backing
Reflective: Up to 80 %
Sustained heat: 450°C (sheet) / 190°C (adhesive)
Melting point: ~1000°C
Clean and degrease the application surface. For textured surfaces, roughen the surface and use primer.
A radiant heat shield for engine-bay use. Reflects up to 80 % of radiated heat, which keeps intake pipes, oil and fuel lines, and bulkhead-adjacent components noticeably cooler during sustained running. The adhesive backing takes care of mounting — no bolt tabs required.
Features:
- 80 % Heat Reflectance: Reflects radiant heat before it reaches the shielded surface.
- 450°C Sustained: The sheet itself; adhesive is good to 190°C.
- Peel-and-Stick: Adhesive backing — no bolt tabs.
- Easy to Cut: Trim with metal shears to complex bulkhead shapes.
- Melting Point ~1000°C: Will not melt in a normal engine-bay fire envelope.
For intake, fuel, bulkhead and firewall heat shielding.
