BBS uses variant suffixes within a series when the design changes are significant enough to warrant a distinct product but not large enough to justify a separate model name. The RI-D should be selected based on which variant’s specific size and offset coverage is correct for the vehicle in question, and on which spoke design fits the build’s visual direction.
